The cargo section caught fire on 16th February 2022 whilst underway from Emden (Germany) to Davis Ville (Rhode Island, U.S.A.). All 22 crewmembers were rescued about 200 miles from the Azores by the Portuguese Navy. A team from Boskalis tried to salvage the ship however unsuccesful. On the first of March 2022 it was reported the ship had capsized and sunk about 220 miles off the Azores to a depth of about 3000 meter.
